The Barn Haunt: Monsters
The picture above is a door that slides down and reveals the scary guy. This was one of the new props I made for this year.
The Barn Haunt: Animal Barn
I created a new entryway. As you can see, as you come up to the door you make an immediate left and go down a dark hall.
As you are going down the dark hall there are skeletons along your path. You come up to the green light with the skulls. There is a sensor that triggers and the creepy kid slams against the closet door. You then make a right turn. There are barn jar lights along with the path. I also have an old drive in movie theater speaker that hangs in this hall to provide you creepy music. Then you come to the play room where anything goes.
As you pass through the play room you walk down another hall and turn a corner, you come up to the swinging light and a hanging doll. AS you pass by the hanging doll you come up to a table and the light starts to swing back and forth. This is also where the fog comes out of the pipes. It can be pretty thick at times, and can make it a little hard to see.
As the light swings back and forth at different speeds, you walk up to chicken kid. I love chicken kid, cause he's creepy. The red light adds nice ambiance to the scene. As you walk past the chicken coop and going left, you can see through the wall that separate this hall and the play room. It is not a solid wall and is made up of old windows, metal and parts. As you turn right, you encounter the newly created Barn Morgue. There are two triggers for this. One triggers a linear actuator that opens up the door very slowly to reveal a body. The other is the door on the top left that sounds like something or someone is rattling the door trying to get out. There are books and some pictures along the wall. You then go right and walk down a darkish hall. The shadows on the wall from the creepy kennel were great and exactly what I was hoping for. There is lots of stuff happening at the creepy kennel. There are two creepy kids. One raises his head very quickly and the other turns to look. Below that we have lights that flicker, we have half a bloody pig, and a zombie dog. On the bottom we have more animals in various states of decay.
Out side around the bon fire are the scarecrows. I love the scarecrows and the pumpkins and all of the dead flowers surrounding them. Everything else is taken down and put away but the scarecrows. Yup, they are still up in the backyard looking majestic and protective. I will take them down, but not today!
