Don't get me wrong I have been plugging away doing my best (which isn't good enough). So, COVID is to partially blame, but we are 2.5 years in and I can't continue to come up with this as an excuse. I think I'm tired. Not of Halloween, or the fall, or the excitement of the changing weather and seasons. All of these things may excite me even more. I love everything about this time of year and that has not changed. I'm tired. I'm tired of my work, it has caused me to become weary. I am tired of the worry and stress about my family. I am tired of adulting at the level it requires to be healthy (I don't have kids so not sure how any of you all are doing it). I am just tired. Anyway, I have no idea what I'm saying or even why I am saying it. This is green chile roasting. In the fall the chile is harvested and brought in burlap bags to grocery stores and other chile roasting sites all over NM. The first picture is large amounts of chile roasting. It smells so good! The next picture is how it looks after it is roasted. You can pick the chile's when they green, or you can wait and leave them on the vine longer and they turn red. The last picture is a smothered burrito with what we call "Christmas" because they wanted both red and green chile. I will post the process of roasting in another blog post.

As the new year rolls in I have decided that blogging would be more fun if I could do it on the go, on my phone. So often I find that I want to post something, or talk about something and can't because I don't have my laptop with me. So it never gets posted and my blog is less than boring. So I'm trying a new blog, one that I can post on whenever the mood strikes me. I will still have this website of course and it will be used for all Barn Haunt content.
